Stage 3 students have multiple opportunities to be school leaders, They are trained to be peer support leaders, the year 6 cohort can run for school captain, vice captain prefects and sports captains.
.School Captain, Vice-Captains and Prefects are elected by the years 3-6 student body and staff. These students are selected from year 6 children only.
Year 6 students are nominated by therp year 6 peers. The nominated students present a speech in front of all years 5 & 6 and staff. From here, the top 8 candidates are chosen.. The eight students then present their speeches again to all children in years 3-6. From here, 2 Captains, 2 Vice-Captains and 4 prefects are elected. The school leadership team are announced at presentation day.
Sports captains present a speech at house meetings in preparation for carnivals. The house tema vote for who they want as their captain and vice captains.
