Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Book Week 2026 – A Symphony of Stories
Our school was filled with the magic of books as students explored stories in so many wonderful ways. From Book Character Hunts and Mystery Readers to literacy activities, book trivia and exploring texts connected to music, every day provided another opportunity to discover the joy of reading. A special highlight was our visit from illustrator Nathaniel Eckstrom, who inspired our students to look at stories through the eyes of an artist and discover the creative world behind the books they love. Then came the moment we had all been waiting for — our Book Character Parade! Our playground was transformed into a spectacular celebration of stories, with students bringing their favourite characters to life through their costumes, creativity and imagination. With families joining us to celebrate, it was wonderful to see our school community come together in a true symphony of stories. From beloved characters to new favourites, every costume told a story and every student helped make our Book Week celebration something special.
Open Day 2026 - Inspiring excellence
Our school came alive with music, movement and creativity as our students took centre stage. We were thrilled to enjoy performances from our Junior and Senior Choirs, Recorder Group and In the Spotlight Festival dancers, each showcasing the confidence, dedication and passion of our students. Our open classrooms provided families with a special opportunity to see learning in action, while our Art Gallery celebrated the imagination and creativity of our young artists. And, of course, our energetic flashmob brought plenty of smiles and excitement to the day! Education Day was a wonderful celebration of how we inspire excellence in every aspect of school life — encouraging our students to discover their strengths, embrace new opportunities, challenge themselves and take pride in their achievements. We are incredibly proud of the wonderful young people who make our school such a special place. Together, we are inspiring excellence, celebrating achievement and creating opportunities for every student to shine.
K-2 Excursion- Blueys Big Play Sydney Opera House
For many of our students, stepping inside the Sydney Opera House was an exciting experience in itself, but seeing Bluey, Bingo and their friends come to life on stage made the day truly magical. Our students laughed, smiled and joined in the fun as they watched their favourite characters bring the world of Bluey to the stage. It was a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to experience live theatre, storytelling, music and performance in one of Sydney’s most famous cultural spaces. The students then shared story time in the Royal Botanical Gardens. From the excitement of the journey to the magic of the performance, our K–2 students created memories they will be talking about for a long time to come.
